Lazer has presented a new helmet in the mid-segment of its racing collection: the Sphere KinetiCore. The model is intended as a versatile road helmet for riders who want to combine comfort, ventilation and safety with a sleek design.

Central to this is KinetiCore technology, where the EPS structure features integrated deformation zones that absorb energy and reduce rotational forces in the event of a fall. Unlike separate systems such as MIPS, this protection is fully incorporated into the helmet structure, which Lazer says saves weight and improves airflow.
In terms of design, Lazer opts for a slim, slightly closed outer shell with large front vents. This should ensure a good balance between cooling and aerodynamics. The helmet further features:
- an integrated glasses garage
- Compatibility with the Lazer Universal LED
- an adjustable fit system
- stitched, fixed straps
Specifications at a glance
- Sizes: S / M / L
- Weight: 270 grams (size M)
- Safety: KinetiCore rotation protection
- Compatible with Universal Mount accessories
- Suggested retail price: €149.99
At this price, the Sphere KinetiCore clearly positions itself below top-of-the-range models like the Lazer Z1, but above entry-level helmets - intended for avid touring and club riders looking for one helmet for everything from interval training to long weekend rides.
