Twelve years ago, it launched BMC the Granfondo, a bike aimed at what BMC now defines as the endurance cyclist, with a nice mix of comfort and performance that allowed it to prove itself against the tough demands of racing on cobblestones. This led four years later to the Roadmachine, a bike that revolutionised this so-called endurance segment.
The first Roadmachine model and the 2nd generation released in 2020 have become benchmarks for comfort and performance. Now Swiss premium bike brand BMC is proud to announce the 3rd version of the successful Roadmachine. Building on another four years of development, BMC is ready to redefine the standard for endurance bikes.
Built on the Roadmachine's successful platform, this new version will be a step forward.

2024 Roadmachine - 01 and X
The complete 2024 Roadmachine range offers a bike for all riders: the premium Roadmachine 01, the Roadmachine (aimed at the 'all-round cyclist'), the gravel racer-ready Roadmachine 01 X and the Roadmachine X.
To expand the family even further, the TQ-powered Roadmachine 01 AMP and Roadmachine 01 AMP X join the current collection of Mahle-powered Roadmachine AMP. This allows all cyclists to go further and faster with the support of a motor.
The Endurance Formula
From a technical point of view, the redesigned frame has many signature BMC features, including TCC (Tuned Compliance Concept) Endurance technology - which achieves the required amount of vertical flexibility -, the D-shaped seatpost, ICS (Integrated Cockpit System) and stem solution, and much more.
Power without compromise
For generation 3 of the Roadmachine, the team at BMC's Impec Lab (home to BMC's in-house R&D, prototyping and
and testing facilities), with a clear goal: "To define the future of endurance racing". One element of this mission
was to find a way to fit larger tyres to a road bike frame without affecting the overall wheelbase of the bike, and
add storage capacity and lighting to the frame, each without compromising handling.
The challenge: keep it fast, increase capacity.
Technical small adjustments for big improvements: the bottom bracket has been repositioned; a slightly more compliant seat tube and seat post have been made; All small adjustments that provide more comfort, but also equal performance. Further improvements have been made to the Roadmachine frame by actually creating more room for a comfortable position required by less active cyclists.
Small adjustments, big results.
Other minor tweaks to keep the same familiar handling are the 5 mm lower bottom bracket and a slightly different head tube angle. Stefan Christ, head of R&D at BMC says:

What makes the Roadmachine the right bike?
Looking further at how cycling has changed since the previous generation of the Roadmachine, and how cycling will change over the lifetime of this generation, BMC saw room for functional improvement. This leads to an integrated storage compartment in the down tube for essentials while riding. But also an integrated rear light, , ability to add a mudguard for the entry-level Roadmachine, plus a dedicated D-fender design for the tightest and most lightweight version.
Every addition and change to the bike has been done with performance and functionality in mind. So cyclists can enjoy their ride, time after time. This is the Roadmachine that riders always wanted and needed
