Brompton, the iconic London brand synonymous with folding bikes worldwide, has a completely revamped Brompton Electric-range presented. With the introduction of the new e-Motiq system takes the electric city bike brand to a new level. This is a truly intelligent bike, with a combo of power and portability and all hand-built in London. We eagerly await the Brompton Electric T Line. It will be one of a kind!

Lightest electric Brompton ever
Eye-catcher of the new collection is the Electric T Line, an ultra-lightweight folding bike with electric assistance. Thanks to its titanium frame and carbon components, it weighs just 11.2 kg without battery. Its weight with battery is 14.1kg. This is unprecedented in its class. With a range of up to 90 kilometres, you will come a long way with the T Line Electric.

Smart power: the new e-Motiq system
The powerhouse behind this new generation is the e-Motiq system, which was previously only found on the successful G Line. The system consists of a tailor-made 250W rear hub motor (with 24 Nm of torque on the C/P Line and 30 Nm on the G Line), a torque sensor and a detachable 345Wh battery. New is the Start Assist function, which provides extra power when accelerating or riding uphill. In addition, there is a de Walk Assist mode, with which the motor runs along at up to 6 km/h. This is often used with cargo bikes but is also useful when walking along platforms or pushing through busy streets.
Smart technology for everyday use
The new steering display displays real-time data, settings and lighting, while the linked Brompton Electric app makes the ride even more personal. After the first 100 kilometres, the system automatically adjusts to the user's driving behaviour for an accurate estimation of range and battery consumption.
Folds up in 20 seconds
As always, portability a core value. In less than 20 seconds, the Brompton Electric transforms from full e-bike to a compact package that is easy to carry or roll thanks to the new SuperRoll+ system. Perfect for those who travel door-to-door, without depending on parking spaces or bike racks.
Sustainable building in London
Each bike is assembled by hand in Brompton's London factory. The batteries meet the strictest safety standards (UL2849 and EN15194) and the electrical system has a three-year guarantee. In addition, Brompton offers more personalisation than ever, with various frame materials, colours and accessories, including a new range of electric panniers.
"Cities are constantly changing, and we are moving with them," says Will Carleysmith, Chief Design & Engineering Officer at Brompton. "With the new Electric line, we combine everything people already appreciate about our bikes with the intelligence and lightness of modern e-mobility. The Electric T Line is proof that a lightweight e-bike can also be durable, powerful and fun."
The new Brompton Electric collection, including the Electric T Line, is from 21 October at pre-order via Brompton.com and Brompton Junction stores, and lies from 28 October in shops at accredited Brompton dealers across Europe.
