The German brand Cube comes to market with no less than three new cycling shoes. The different models, the RD C:68X, Sydrix Pro and Sydrix each offer their own mix of stiffness, fit and support. The shoes in the new collection include a super-stiff sole, convenient twist closures and offer a beautiful finish.
CUBE RD C:68X: the top model
CUBE's brand new RD C:68X is designed for cyclists who don't want to waste energy. They are stiffer and faster. The secret is in the sole: it is made of C:68X carbon, the same high-quality material that CUBE uses for its top frames. A higher carbon content makes this sole extremely stiff yet remarkably light. Exactly what you want when every second counts. The super-stiff carbon sole instantly converts every pedal into speed.
The double swivel closure ensures a secure and precise fit, which you easily adjust. And because that system is reinforced with Dyneema®, the fit remains good even after intensive use. Ventilation is good too: the strategically perforated upper and ventilated tongue keep your feet cool. The Natural Fit insole provides support that really helps. CUBE's Sydrix Pro road cycling shoes sit like a pair of slippers, at least if it's up to Cube itself. The sturdy fibreglass composite sole gives you enough stiffness for a great ride. The double dials allow you to tighten the shoes firmly. We also see here a reinforced toecap, an asymmetric closure that takes some pressure away from the instep as well as a replaceable heel piece. You have these shoes in white and white, but with the dirt-resistant upper, they should stay white for a long time.

The shoe has been significantly updated compared to the previous version: no more Velcro, but a handy rotary button closure. That means faster donning and doffing. Together with the asymmetric closure, this also ensures even pressure distribution and a comfortable fit. Like the Sydrix Pro, it features a fibreglass composite sole, a replaceable heel piece and ventilation in just the right places. Just what you need for training laps, cyclo rides or club rides.
