Leatt presents high-performance component line for 2025

Leatt, best known from the world of protection and clothing in the MTB scene, enters the high-performance cycling parts market with conviction in 2025. With a completely new line Leatt Components the brand targets serious mountain bikers who combine performance, weight, ergonomics and reliability in their choice of equipment.

The new component collection consists of a range of lightweight and ruggedly designed parts, including cockpits, handlebars, saddles, seat posts, pedals and wheels. Each component was developed using CFD analysis, prototyping and laboratory and trail testing in South Africa.

Handlebars & stems: light, stiff and well-thought-out

Leatt's driver includes different series of carbon and aluminium handlebars and stems. The focus is on controlled flex, minimal vibration and ergonomics. There is a choice of risers from 0 to 30 mm and widths up to 800 mm, depending on type of rider (trail, enduro or downhill).

  • Carbon models use lay-ups aimed at vertical compliance and horizontal stiffness
  • Aluminium models are CNC-machined from 7075 or 6061 alloys
  • Specific versions for DH (35 mm clamp) and trail (31.8 mm clamp) available

The stems (Stem Pro and Stem Lite) combine low weight with a wider clamping area for optimal stiffness.

Seatposts & Saddles: focus on control and comfort

For trail and endurance riders, Leatt introduces dropper posts with internal routing, 150-180 mm travel and patented cartridge damping. The dropper has minimal backlash, low service requirements and easy adjustment.

The saddles have been developed in collaboration with biomechanical specialists. They have:

  • Variable foam densities
  • Kevlar reinforcements on wear surfaces
  • Carbon or Cr-Mo rails
  • Designs aimed at aggressive driving positions

Pedals: platform with grip and precision

The Leatt SPD Trail and DH platform pedals stand out for their CNC aluminium bodies, sealed cartridge bearings and interchangeable pins. For flat pedal fans, Leatt offers a large surface area (112×105 mm), concave profile and 10 interchangeable pins per side.

Highlights:

  • Platform pedals weigh only 330 grams (set)
  • SPD Trail combines snap mechanism with reinforced outer body for when you hit a rock

First impression: promising debut

Leatt's component line breathes the same philosophy as their protection and clothing: high performance, cleverly developed and tested in real conditions. What stands out is the coherence within the line - everything fits together visually and technically. So for those who want to take their mountain bike or enduro-rig to the next level, Leatt now offers a total package.

The parts will be available from spring 2025 through selected dealers and the official Leatt webshop. Prices will be announced soon, but Leatt hints at "premium performance at a competitive price".
