FFWD has launched the RYOT series redesigned and introduces a wheelset that is wider, lighter and more aerodynamic than ever. At least, that's the claim. We have yet to test that, but for now, the signals about this new RYOT seem to be in order.
Whether you enjoy competitive cycling or are an avid gran fondo rider or cycling tourer, the RYOT 2025 offers a modern upgrade.

What's new about the FFWD RYOT 2025?
FFWD has made some important improvements:
✅ 23mm internal rim width → for wider tyres (28mm-32mm). So for amateurs more comfort.
✅ New carbon lay-up → weight saved without compromising rigidity
✅ New N/GAGE hub → 50 grams lighter than the previous generation
✅ Hooked rim flange → suitable for tubeless and inner tube
All models within the RYOT series (33, 44, 55 and 77) benefit from these updates.

Lighter without compromise
FFWD claims a weight saving of 100 grams per wheel set, which is mainly due to the redesigned carbon lay-up. This technology comes from the more exclusive RAW series, bringing the RYOT 2025 closer to high-end racing wheels.
The new N/GAGE hubs also contribute to the lower weight. Thanks to a more efficient design and less unnecessary material, they are 50 grams lighter than the previous generation TWO/ONE hubs, without compromising on durability.
Wider rims = better performance
The trend of wider rims and wider tyres continues. FFWD is capitalising on this with a Internal rim width of 23 mm, which is ideal for tyres of 28mm to 32mm. This offers:
🔹 More comfort → wider tyres can be driven at lower pressures
🔹 More grip → improved stability when cornering
🔹 Lower rolling resistance → better aerodynamics at higher speeds
FFWD did not jump on the hookless hype for this set. Opting for the classic hooked rims means you can choose between tubeless or an inner tube.
Availability and prices
The New FFWD RYOT wheels available from 17 March 2025 and maintain their competitive pricing:

These upgrades position FFWD the RYOT wheels as a affordable premium option. Lighter, wider and faster - ready for modern road and gravel bikes.
