With Trek's new Aeolus saddles, you're always in the right place

Trek has expanded its popular Aeolus saddle line completely renovated and equipped with the new AirLoom lattice technology. The saddles have been developed in collaboration with the riders of Lidl-Trek and Trek Factory Racing-Pirelli XC, and, according to Trek, offer a new standard in comfort and efficiency. And that goes for pros and avid recreational riders alike.

AirLoom: 3D precision with comfort

The result, according to Trek, is a saddle that is not only more comfortable, but also more efficient. The lattice structure deforms independently, providing natural support without sacrificing freedom of movement or reduced power as a cyclist.

Central to the renewal is AirLoom, a 3D-printed matrix strategically structured for optimal pressure distribution. The structure supports the seat bones, offers more flexibility under the soft fabric and moves with the rider. This eliminates traditional foam layers, which often cause pressure points and friction.

Riejanne Markus (Lidl-Trek) has been riding the new Aeolus RSL AirLoom for the past few months and is enthusiastic: "It is without doubt the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden on."

The saddle was also intensively tested offroad. Haley Hunter Smith, Trek Driftless athlete, rode it 200 miles during Unbound Gravel and for eight days in the Cape Epic: "No saddle pain, no pain on the sit bones, and perhaps most importantly, no more pain in the places where it hurts the most ;)."

Race-tested design with new shape

In addition to the AirLoom structure, the shape of the Aeolus saddle addressed. The nose is narrower, material in the transition zones has been removed, and the top has a subtly longer slope. This reduces inner thigh friction and maintains support in an aerodynamic sitting position.

The redesign was developed with the help of pressure measurement technology and input from pro riders, with which Trek claims the Aeolus range is not only more comfortable, but also more biomechanically efficient.
