US brand Trek continues to innovate and comes up with a new successor to the Trek Madone<\/a>, the Madone Gen8 A small pivot is made and it is now more of an all-round racing model. Trek<\/a> thereby seeks more of a balance between aerodynamics and weight. This also means only news for one of Trek's other well-known products. The \u00c9monda has to make way, as Trek is aiming for a broader target group with the new Madone. It is a combination of both the Madone and the Emonda<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madone Gen8 - By design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Trek's designers explicitly wanted this bike to have a low weight like the Emonda but, on the contrary, be aerodynamic like the Madone. Everything has been thought of, resulting in a bike that is faster than both the Gen7 Madone and the Gen3 Emonda, on all terrains. Weight has been saved: 320 grams in total. And aerodynamically, there is none better. There are even Aero water bottles available! At least, if Trek is to be believed. Also, the new OCLV 900 carbon is strong (20%), which also allows it to be lighter than ever before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
