Both series are built on a new frame. The result: more speed, yet comfort. The frames are complemented by components specially designed for gravel such as handlebars, saddles and WheelSystems. Both bikes are improved over their predecessors, with intere cabling and a handy pocket in the down tube for carrying tools or a snack. American Cole Paton and Australian Brendan Johnston trained and raced prototype models at key events earlier this year. (C) Giant<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flip chip and thick tyres<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>By now a well-known feature of GIANT is the flip chip that allows you to shorten or lengthen the wheelbase. If you put the flip chip in the shortest position, the result is a bike with more agility. This is ideal for rides over mixed terrain with paved roads and fast gravel paths. In the longest position, you get more stability, for when you have rougher gravel work in mind. If you go for rough work, you can put up to 53 mm tyres.
