The Royal Dutch Cycling Union (KNWU) has appointed Kalas as its new performance apparel partner. This partnership will start on 1 January 2025 and run through to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games. Following the news that AGU<\/a> and the KNWU had parted ways, after a partnership of more than two years, this news was awaited. The KNWU thus finds a new clothing partner in Kalas<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kalas from the Czech Republic<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For regular followers of the cycling circus, Kalas is no unknown name. This leading Czech manufacturer, is known for its fine cycling clothing. Top teams such as Alpecin-Deceuninck and the British national team have been wearing the clothing for several years. And who can argue that 'VDP' is wrong?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniel Heijne, Chief Commercial Officer of the KNWU, stressed that Kalas was a perfect fit with the federation's values and objectives: With Kalas, we have found a partner that perfectly matches our values and objectives in terms of top-level sport, grassroots sport and sustainability. We look forward to working together and providing our riders with the very best performance apparel during international competitions and the LA 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, where we want to excel both on and off the bike<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides national selections, amateur cyclists also benefit from this cooperation. Cycling clubs and cycling groups can order personalised cycling clothing from as little as five items, which is or could be an interesting proposition for many clubs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kalas is committed to sustainable production processes and corporate social responsibility, which is in line with the ambitions of the KNWU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this cooperation, both parties aim to take the performance of Dutch cyclists to the next level and further develop cycling in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
