Zipp has announced five new wheel sets for 2025, aimed at performance riders, triathletes and gravel riders. What stands out is the integration of SRAM AXS Wheel Sensors, which measures tyre pressure in real time via the hub. With this, Zipp is fully committed to smart wheel and tyre integration, and is also introducing two matching Goodyear tyres specifically designed for Zipp rim profiles.
353 NSW - lightweight and connected
The new 353 NSW Is Zipp's lightest wheelset ever, weighing just 1310g. The rim (35-40mm deep) combines aerodynamics with climber performance and is designed for 30mm tubeless tyres. New is the Zipp AXS Wheel Sensor: an integrated pressure gauge that communicates with the SRAM AXS app. This allows riders to read pressure values, optimise them and receive warning signals in case of pressure loss.
The ZR1 SL hub platform used (30g lighter than its predecessor) includes ceramic bearings and 66 engagement points.
303 SW - all-road specialist
The 303 SW is the versatile choice for those riding on different surfaces. Inspired by the gravel-focused 303 XPLR, this set is optimised for tyres between 30-35mm. With stainless steel bearings, wider rims (25mm internally), and TSE technology, the 303 SW offers comfort as well as efficiency on both asphalt and light gravel. Weight: 1440g.
Aero line-up: 454 and 858 NSW
For speed lovers, there are updates to the 454 NSW (53/58mm) and 858 NSW (82/85mm). Both sets are lighter than their predecessors, with ceramic bearings, ZR1 SL hubs, and hookless rim profiles optimised for 28-30mm tyres.
The 858 NSW is of specific interest to triathletes and time trial specialists. The deep Sawtooth profile offers excellent aero efficiency and crosswind stability, without sacrificing weight (1500g/set).
Fitment Series: Goodyear for Zipp
Zipp launches two new tyres in collaboration with Goodyear:
- Goodyear Eagle F1 R Z29 Aero (29mm, 270g) - Optimised for Zipp 404 and 454, with low rolling resistance and perfect aerodynamic integration.
- Goodyear Vector R XPLR (40mm, 440g) - For gravel use with the 303 XPLR, with M:Wall and R:Shield technology.
Both tyres are tubeless ready and fit aerodynamically seamlessly to Zipp's hookless rim profiles.
