Ridley introduces the Kanzo Fast 2.0, a completely new gravel racing bike that combines aerodynamics with space for tires up to 58 mm. A progressive race geometry should provide stability at high speeds, without losing the direct steering behavior of a racing bike.

The official presentation will take place at the start of the EK Gravel in Houffalize. Daan Grosemans and Arno Van Den Broeck They are driving there with the new Kanzo Fast 2.0 and are available on site for a bike check.

Aero technology from the Noah Fast

For the frame, Ridley uses the third generation of aerodynamic technology from the Noah Fast. That race bike formed the basis for the tubular profiles and integration of the new gravel racer. According to Ridley, the aero technology used has been developed and tested at WorldTour level.

The manufacturer wants to prevent wide tires from combining with unnecessary air resistance on fast tracks. The aerodynamic design is intended to maintain speed while the larger tire volume allows for more grip and lower rolling resistance on rough surfaces.

At Previously shown prototypes Among other things, a deeply shaped ball head tube, a wide under tube and a seat tube running right along the rear wheel were visible. That seat tube shields part of the rear tire from the airflow. Ridley did not publish any wind tunnel figures or power savings during the official introduction.

The most important confirmed properties are:

  • Maximum tire clearance 58 mm;
  • Third generation Noah Fast-aerotechnologies;
  • geometry developed for larger tires and higher speeds;
  • Ideal for gravel races and quick training sessions on unpaved roads.

Progressive geometry for wide tires

The progressive race geometry It is tuned to the combination of high speed and large tire volume. Ridley aims for more stability as the pace increases, while maintaining maneuverability on technical passages.

During Eurobike, indications of that approach were already visible. Velo described the prototype With a flatter seat angle, longer upper tube and shorter handlebars. This combination places the rider further forward and supports a low racing position. A complete geometry table has not yet been released.

The show bike at Eurobike was on display 55 mm Schwalbe G-One RX Pro tires, Therefore, it is close to the maximum space specified. Furthermore, internal cable routing, mounting points for an upper bracket and a storage compartment in the lower bracket were visible. These details were part of the prototype and have not all been attached yet for every production version.

Pure gravel racer for races and fast rides

Ridley positions the Kanzo Fast 2.0 in the Official announcement As a pure gravel racer. According to the brand, the bike is intended for competitions and fast rides for both professional and recreational riders.

Prices, weights, sizes and complete configurations have not yet been announced. More technical details will be announced during the presentation in Houffalize.
