Today, FFWD (FastForward) launched a new aluminium all-road wheelset: the Outride. This is the Dutch brand's new price fighter. In Zwolle, they have thrown themselves into producing a wheelset that can handle all roads and is also competitive on price. We'll see!
Multi-purpose monster wheels
To make a good wheelset, you don't always have to manufacture the most expensive or the flashiest set. They must have thought the same thing at FFWD. Because whether you want to use these wheels as spare wheels, as gravel wheels or just as commuter wheels, with a 25mm internal width and matching aluminium 'hooked' rims, you have a wide tyre choice in a range from 28mm to 50mm. So you can literally put them anywhere.
Competitively priced
If there is one thing you like to know as a Dutchman it is the price. For an aluminium all-rounder, €499 is an excellent price point. Especially considering the full range of options. The rims are fitted with DT 350 hubs from DT SWISS. Sustainability combined with 'durability', which again translates into the choice of 6061 aluminium, which in combination with thicker rims makes for a stiffer/sturdier wheelset. The choice of DT350 also allows for easy 'freehub' changes. So you can quickly change from SRAM to Campa to Shimano and back again. The choice of 24 straight-pull Sapim spokes and DT nipples also make good service a breeze.
Would you like to order a new set right away? Then you can do so at FFWD itself or at one of the many dealers.
