A debut to remember: gravel racer Piotr Havik had never raced in an ultra-distance race before, but won it immediately Badlands 2026. He laid the space 800 kilometers with more than 13,000 vertical meters from Granada and back to 36 hours and 15 minutes.

His Colnago G4-X

  • Colnago G4-X in size 54
  • SRAM Red XPLR with an aero front fork and 1×13 cassette (10-52) from Garbaruk
  • Oquo RP50LTD wheels of 50 mm with Continental Dubnital tires of 50 mm
  • Colnago CC.01 Wide handlebar with adapter for an aerodynamic position
  • A custom-made 3D-printed saddle from Posedla and bags from Apidura

Our perspective

Striking is the 10-52 cassette with one blade: in the Spanish mountains with luggage, a small setback is not a luxury. The fact that an ultradian debutant wins immediately shows how closely gravel racing and ultra cycling have come together in recent times. Incidentally, Colnago has just launched the successor, the G5-X.
