Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz is an avid cyclist, and now has his own cycling clothing. During the weekend of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Sainz and the Spanish brand Gobik a long-standing collaboration known.
Two collections
- Gobik x 55: training and competition clothing, designed together with Sainz
- Fifty Five: premium lifestyle clothing for cyclists, from the future brand Fifty Five
According to both parties, Sainz was really involved in the design, from the fit and fabrics to the colors. The first collections came out in August 25, 2026 in sales, through the webshops of Gobik and Sainz and through pop-ups at events. Prices are not mentioned.
Co-founder Alberto García Cantero of Gobik emphasizes that it is not a sponsorship, but a real creative collaboration.
Our perspective
After Pogačar-like pros, now F1 drivers are discovering the race bike, and they like to play on that. Whether the Gobik x 55 really adds anything to the collection remains to be seen, but it should bring Gobik a significant new audience.
